Court of Protection
In conjunction with our Private Client Department services for the elderly, we act for clients and their relatives where a person has lost mental capacity to deal with their property and affairs. We deal with applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of Deputies under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and for the appointment of Trustees where required to deal with real property assets for the benefit of the patient.
We can advise and liaise with the Office for the Public Guardian and with Local Authorities, care homes and others as required. We take you through the whole process from commencment to appointment with sensitivity and support in what are often difficult times for families of the loved one who has lost capacity.
