EDC Lord takes its name from our founder Edwin David Charles Lord who began his legal practice in 1919 operating from premises in Southall, Middlesex. Over the next 30 years the firm flourished. After the Second World War, Edwin Lord decided to retire and the practice was acquired by Jim Langley and Bill West, but it continued to trade under the EDC Lord banner. The firm continued to thrive under its new owners, expanding by opening new branches in and around West London, and acquiring a number of other established legal practices along the way. In the 1980s the head office of the practice moved to its current location at Link House, 1200 Uxbridge Road, Hayes Middlesex, from where it continues to trade to this day. From a one man beginning the firm now employs over 50 legal, administrative and support staff in offices in Hayes and Ealing, and currently has 5 partners. We are proud of our heritage and the service we have provided to individuals and businesses over so many years. We are excitedly anticipating our 100th anniversary in 2019.
